Please do not use poor quality media from some discounters. In doing so unexpected errors may occur (especially for DVD media) and cause data loss. 
Sony Optiarc recommends the use of compatible media (see Recommended media list) preferably Jewel-Cased (small packs i.e. 5 pack/10 pack). 
Also note that  Labelflash drives require Labelflash certified media (e.g. FUJI DVD-R 16x Labelflash).
